5 Tsunami Workshop   
This one day workshop will be held from 9-5 in the New Hanover EOC. This day will be filled with mini- workshops on, Tsunami Science, Warning, and the NTHMP.  ASL well as, Atlantic Tsunami History and Risk,
Planning and Mitigation; Tsunami Ready, SCEMD Tsunami Concept of Operations, Travel, and Myths.
15-17  Spring Conference – Sea Trail  
This 3 day long conference will be arranged in "mini tracks" that will allow participants to focus on particular themes, such as local response, technology, special needs, resources/logistics and hurricane response.  All those attending should recruit a local emergency responder or other community partner from within your jurisdiction to register and attend the conference with you.  Guest speakers like Bill Read, Director of the National Hurricane Center will be in attendance.

14 Growl Test for BNP  
The public alert notification sirens around Progress Energy's Brunswick nuclear power plant are tested throughout the year. Brunswick Nuclear Plant conducts silent tests, low-volume growl tests and full-volume tests each year. The siren tests are conducted in cooperation with the emergency planning offices of each sites surrounding counties.
29 Public Officials Conference - BNP  
This one day event is intended to show your target audience representatives from Boards of Commissions, Municipal Executive Boards, and Finance Offices what is going on in Emergency Services. Although, others may attend if they feel they will benefit from this event.  This conference will take place at 9 am in the New Hanover County Emergency Operations Center. 4th-5th State Wide Hurr-EX  
This is annual statewide exercise that BCES will be participating along with several other counties within the state.  This exercise is being hosted by North Carolina Emergency Management.  We will be simulating the activation of our EOC and utilizing WebEOC to communicate with both the State and municipal partners during this exercise.
